Welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post! If you'll notice, there's a gap of more than a day between the first photo and the following ones. This is because the first photo was actually the last photo my mum took of me before she had her right eye operated on. The rest of the photos were taken when my mum had her sight back in her right eye. Two weeks passed between the first photo and the rest! Now we're back to photography because she'll soon be having an operation on her left eye!!! And I have to have material to work with while my mum recuperates. Isn't that right? You like this kind of post, don't you? If I miss a week you'll be sad, won't you? So, tell me in the comments, which look did you like the most?

Bem-vindos meus queridos leitores e amigos do Marisa's Closet!!
Welcome my dear readers and friends of Marisa's Closet!!! These beautiful photos were taken in this magnificent wisteria pergola that hides a terrible secret! Do you want to know what it is? Then come with me, let's explore this exuberant pergola, let's dive into a universe of colours and aromas. Each flower exudes a sweet and inviting scent, creating an irresistible setting not only for me, but also for the bees and the terrible plague that arrived in Portugal in 2011. This terrible plague makes it dangerous to go near these flowers, do you know what I'm talking about
Look: Stine Goya
Each click of my camera was therefore not only an attempt to capture the ephemeral beauty of wisteria in all its glory, but also a reflection on the intricate web of interactions that sustain life on our planet and threats to life. Has the Asian wasp arrived in your countries too? Tell me all about it in the comments!
Hello compulsive readers of this blog, and welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post! This week, while the world was amazed by the total solar eclipse, I was busy preparing for my celestial photo shoot. Although I couldn't see the eclipse in Portugal, I decided that my photos would be so stunning that they would eclipse any image of the event. And I'm not kidding! While everyone was gazing up at the sky with wide eyes, I was in my garden capturing these fashionable moments. My photos are so spectacular that it looked like the eclipse was taking place in my garden, would it be a second eclipse? you tell me! My photos aren't just rare phenomena, they're the result of my mum's superior photographic skills, who now sees better than ever!!! So, for those of you who missed the solar event, don't worry! I have photos that will make you feel as if you were there, even if you're thousands of kilometres away, and if you feel dizzy with so much beauty, don't worry, it's just the effect of my photography skills eclipsing your world ahahahah!!!!

Bem-vindos meus queridos amigos e leitores deste meu blog!
Welcome, my dear friends and readers of my blog! In this post, I'll introduce you to the newest university residence in Coimbra, whose front features a street art by the artist Bordalo II. This Portuguese artist is known internationally for his impressive sculptures made from recycled materials and objects found on the streets. His works contain environmentalist messages through the representation of animals, emphasizing the importance of nature conservation and the sustainability of natural resources! But what was the real meaning of this street art? That's what I'm going to try to find out?
Come on and do us all a favor"

Hello and welcome to another fabulous post! This weekend, exceptionally, we won't have Looks of the Week, and why? Because I'm without a photographer! Oh! That's right, my mum had eye surgery and can't take photos. But don't worry, we've been working hard and there'll be plenty of photos around here! As you know, the fashion industry is one of the most polluting, mainly due to its high consumption of natural resources such as water and energy, the mass production of clothes that often end up in landfill sites, taking years and years to completely degrade. What's more, the manufacturing process consumes a lot of chemicals that contribute to the pollution of soils and waterways. Having said that, I propose the following challenge, which has to do with sustainability, and which I'll explain below.
I hope you're having a wonderful Easter holiday! This is a special post, the season demands it! I was looking for somewhere to display my cross-stitch painting, the title of which is inspired by Madonna's song "Live to Tell". As I'm from Figueira da Foz, I thought the Dr Santos Rocha Museum would be the most suitable place. So come and join me for a guided tour!
As you know, my blog is an extension of my life, a platform where I share my experiences through art. Each post is a story of my life, a unique expression of my being!
Recently, my cross-stitch painting that I'm going to show you took me to explore this museum, and as I wandered through the galleries, I was immersed in a sea of inspiration. Each work of art, each historical artefact, told its own story, just as I wanted to tell mine. It was then that I realised that this would be the perfect home for my painting, in this atmosphere of art and culture!
Sometimes it gets so hard to hide it well"
It is especially significant that this visit to this museum in my city takes place during Easter, a time of renewal and resurrection. Just as Easter celebrates victory over adversity, my painting and my story represent my own journey of struggle and triumph. It is a celebration of life, art and human resilience.
Too blind to see the writing on the wall"
Now I have a challenge for you: I've been asked to change my hair colour. I'm proposing 2 changes: blonde hair compared to brown hair. And blonde hair compared to black hair. Question: which hair colour did you like the most, blonde, brown or black?
This post is not just about exhibiting a piece of art, but about sharing a part of my life with my readers, friends and those who share the same love for creative expression and the cultural heritage of Figueira da Foz. All the works on display are part of the collection of the Dr Santos Rocha Museum. And, in the end, the crown of thorns is transformed into a crown of marvellous flowers! Happy Easter to everyone!
